The Northumberland Triathlon up at Druridge bay is one of our favourite tri’s in the region and today was no exception and the event seems to be growing every year. Credit to the dedication of the Vo2 Max Event team.
A drizzly grey start to the day met most of the competitors at the very crack of dawn to make the journey from far afield throughout the region. The weather didn’t improve much for the duration of the racing and drizzle and light rain made cycling quite hazardous, however unusually light airs for the coast compensated (6-7mph from the north).
