Tyne Triathlon Club (Tyne Tri) is one of the oldest clubs in the North East Region of Triathlon England. The club was the brainchild of Ian Webster (an honorary member) and was founded at a meeting of ten people in the Western Public House, Jarrow, on 15th August 1984.
Despite having had some difficult years recently, the return to Elswick Pool is hoped to spur on membership back to the impressive numbers we have seen in the past.
All are welcome to join the club or experience one of our training sessions; whether thinking of participating in triathlon, training for your first event or a seasoned age-group triathlete. The club presently organises multiple sessions for club members catering for all ability levels.
