A blustery Saturday saw Angela, Arbella Nigel, Heather, Steve and Chris representing Tyne Tri at the Castles Challenge Sprint Triathlon.

The swim had to be altered to suit the conditions as the safety team where unable to hold positions against the wind. So the swim was kept shallow and a near side bouy used and a remarkably accurate swim course was esablished. The sea was choppy and confused but swimming with the wind made for rapid progress…

The bike was unchanged from previous years but a slog into the wind for 6miles and a zip back.

The run was also out and back into the wind out on to the golf course
