As you may have heard, there has been a sad and sudden announcement from Fenham Pool that it is to shut the doors for the last time on 28th July.

This is obviously a huge blow for the local community after losing Elswick Pool only a few years ago.

For Tyne Triathlon however it possibly goes deeper than this. After our forced re-location from Elswick Pool to Fenham Pool we suffered a large drop in numbers from which we have struggled to recover.

I want to assure you that the committee are doing our utmost to find a temporary home, and longer term a new permanent base. In order for this club to continue though we need you, the members, to help out as much as possible. Unfortunately outside of a small core we have been on the brink of struggling as a club for a longer period of time. I hope that in face of this newest setback we can rally together and ensure the continuation of Tyne Triathlon Club.

We will be posting updates to the website, facebook and via email over the next few weeks to keep everyone aware of progress that is being made.
