Monday:         Coached swim session   Fenham Swimming Pool   08:00 - 9:00pm

Thursday:       Coached swim session  The lakeside Centre  8:30 - 9:30pm  

Friday:           Coached swim session    Fenham Swimming Pool  7:00 – 8:00pm

Saturday:       Coached swim session  Blyth Sports Centre        5:30 – 6:30pm

Saturday: Junior club swim session Lane one at Blyth Sports Centre 5:30 - 6:30pm

NOTE: These are session start times - you need to be ready at poolside!

Open Water: swimming & coaching is delivered through Tri Northumberland during the summer months - details to follow.


Sunday:          Group Bike Ride, Regents Centre, meet at 9:00am

This group rides varies in distance and speed depending upon the numbers of people that attend. On average the distance will be between 40-50miles with an average pace of around 15-16mph. If you are interested in attending this ride, but are unsure on your ability or about group riding then please feel free to get intouch with the club at for advice

Due to the large geographical area Tyne Tri covers and the number of good running clubs in the area, members are presently encouraged to join their local running club..


Park run is also a great way to get in a 5k blast once a week.... its free and a good way to track your progress and gets the weekend of to a flying start. Loads of Tyne Tri do park run and you can see where you fit in here.  Sign up if you haven't already it's great spint triathlon training...

For those that use strava Join the Tyne Tri group where you can post your training races and whatever else you get up to.

We may also post challenges on the group with regards to distance ran, fastest mile, distance on the bike, best route name, etc.


Junior Training Section

The age range is 7-16, with a childs competative age based upon their age on 31st Dec.

Membership is open to any Child or Young person regardless of sporting ability, who just wants to improve their fitness, learn new skills or train with people of their own age.

Not sure if it`s for you or your child, then come along and try one of our sessions.

We have 2 weekly coached sessions with a third planned for next year.

The twice weekly Coached sessions cover;

Swim: Friday`s 4:30-5:30pm at Elswick Leisure Centre. We would expect the Child or Young person to be able to swim 50 metres without stopping, however exceptions can be made for 7-8 year olds.

Bike/Run: Wednesday`s 5:00-6:00pm within Elswick Park. We expect a Child or Young person to have a Bike & helmet, any type will do providing it is safe to ride. 

The Coached Bike sessions cover - Bike handling & transition (T1 & T2) skills, aimed at improving a Child or Young persons overall confidence, ability and speed.

The Run sessions will cover fitness & fun.
