National Relays - Nottingham 2011

Dear all,

Something in the region of 170 male teams entered this on Sunday 28 August 2011. One of those teams was Tyne Tri Vets. Placed 7th in their category they didn't do too badly especially considering that most of the team were injured or recovering from injury - to be expected with old age setting on! The team comprised; Dave Stevens -leg 1 and took a hammering in the swim, Dave Bell - leg 2 and stumbled across the run finish line, yours truly - leg 3 and got whipped on the bike, Kevin Stephens - leg 4 and best man as he brought the goodies bag!

Fantastic atmosphere, loads of top class athletes and novices alike. All in the mix and a great day had by all. Would strongly encourage more of you to give it a go next year. Ryton managed to get out some 5 teams.

Hopefully, we'll put some teams out for the Cleveland Relays.

Cheers

Cleveland Relays - 25/09/11

Calling all TT triathletes!

This is pretty much the last event of the season so let's make it a corker for TT and have a few teams entered - all standards and mixed and matched. It's fast and furious and above all fun.

Let me/Emma Taylor know if interested.

Cheers

National Relays August 2011

Dear all,

This is a national event so it is a chance to put our best foot forward and show all those other Clubs just what we are made of. The competition is taking place this year on Sat 27 and Sun 28 August at Nottingham water sports centre. Full details as per following hyper-link. http://www.onestepbeyond.org.uk/national-club-relay-champs.php
There are camping facilities in addition to more up market places available. Its a sure bet that other Clubs in the region will enter 2 or more teams and we really ought to be able to do the same. I and Emma as respective male/female Club captains are hoping to put together a mix of Tyne Tri teams. These will hopefully be age category teams and maybe mixed gender teams. Its a relay late in the season so no excuses about fitness etc. Plenty of racing before hand and this is pure fun and a great experience. So come on, lets fly the flag and show them all just how good we are!
Please see either Emma or me at the Club any swim night/Sundays for any further information/commitment to race. Alternatively, e-mail/use this forum.

Cheers
