About the club
Tyne Tri is one of the oldest and largest clubs in the Northern Region of Triathlon England. The club was the brainchild of Ian Webster (one of our honorary members) and was founded at a meeting of about ten people in the Western Public House, Jarrow on 15th August 1984. Membership has grown considerably since then.
All are welcome to join the club from those first starting to think of taking part in triathlons to experienced athletes. There are several coached sessions organised for club members catering for all ability levels. Additionally, within the membership there are a number of people with BTF coaching qualifications who would also be pleased to help with advice, please speak to the Club Secretary.
